Ylläs is Finland’s largest and tallest fell with ski lifts, standing proud at a height of 718 metres above sea level. Two downhill skiing centres are available, Iso-Ylläs Oy and Ylläs-Ski Oy Ylläs also has Finland’s largest integrated cross-country skiing network covering 330 kilometres. Spring 2008 saw the opening of Finland’s largest gondola lift, with its most distinctive characteristic being its sauna gondola. On the summit of the fell is Finland’s highest cafeteria and restaurant.

As the permanent snow cover arrives in October – November, Levi celebrates the grand opening of the skiing season with the opening competition of the Alpine Skiing World Cup. These events start the long and snow guaranteed winter in Levi, which continues right through to mid-May. The shortening of the daylight hours and the blue shades of winter twilight create a unique magical ambiance in the early season.

Log Cabins in Levi Center (Sleeps 4-6)

These new log cabins are located only few hundred metres from Levi Center and its services, skiing trails and slopes.
